State of the Third Sector in Leeds - Update for 2024

The State of the Third Sector in Leeds report, also known as State of the Sector (SotS), provides a comprehensive overview of the size, structure, and impact of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector across the city.

This year, MyCake was pleased to contribute to the data collection, using the established SotS methodology and framework. In addition to maintaining consistency with previous reports, MyCake also explored opportunities to include richer detail and expanded datasets.

The report breaks down key information across several areas:

• Workforce: including numbers of employees, trustees, and volunteers
• Organisations: total count and those contributing to health and care
• Organisation size: by income and staffing levels
• Funding streams
• Areas of work
